Notes
The tower is twenty stories high and contains commercial spaces on the ground floor and mezzanine; parking is on the underground levels. The building site is situated along a main commercial street flanked by modern high-rise buildings, and its size and shape are dictated by building regulations. This was the first time in the U.A.E. that such a tall building gets equipped with an underground parking and gets built entirely of a steel structure cladded with satin-finish aluminum panels. On the other hand, ground floor columns are cladded with stainless steel.
Tukan’s use of these materials allowed speed and precision in construction, as well as durability.
