Notes
"The building is situated between two streets with a 15-meter level difference, and the upper street is very steep. The shops and offices overlook an internal courtyard atrium which provides a pleasant space for relaxation, as well as lighting for the inner offices” (Abu Hamdan, 1984). These offices as well as the shops are fully air conditioned. Besides, the use of arches by the architect could be seen as an attempt to evoke of a local character. And in terms of materiality, the building is a made of fully precast prestressed fair faced concrete.
