The house was conceived with an open plan layout, which was appealing to the clients as were the other modernist components of the project like the gardens, roofs, doors, stoves… The courtyard was also given a modernist character as it was bounded with a curtain wall. Furthermore, to animate the courtyard and give it a focal point, the architect articulated the glazing opening onto the it with a Mondrian composition.
