Notes
As the project occupies a narrow plot, the architect conceptualizes a design configured linearly along a large “gallery passage”. One side of the corridor is bounded by a brick wall separating the house from the adjacent neighboring building. The other side is bounded by the house’s rooms and is mostly glazed. This design acts an architectural solution maximizing the perceived interior spaciousness and providing indirect light through the gallery passage into the rooms.

Chadirji creates a contrast between the two floors in terms of lighting. While the ground floor receives ample light from the openings and the gallery passage, the first floor has minimal openings and light coming mostly from the passage. This secures a private and calm ambiance for the bedrooms situated on the first floor.
