Carlos Ott (Uruguayan born in 1946) graduated as an architect from the University of Uruguay around 1970. In 1971, he studied at the University of Hawaii and in 1972 he obtained his Masters in Architecture and Urban Design from Washington University School of Architecture in St. Louis.
From 1972 to 1974, he worked in the USA, and then moved to Canada in 1975, where he worked with firms such as
Moffat, Moffat Kinoshita & Associates, Cadillac Fairview Corporation, and
NORR. With NORR and independently, he worked on several project in the United Arab Emirates. He returned to Uruguay in 1992 to open an office.
