Notes
This design is an unbuilt competition entry for the National Bank in Abu Dhabi. The designed building is supported with vertical structural panels defining cells along which the building's envelope recesses or protrudes. Within this controlled framework, the design is left to stochastically generate diversified volumetric configurations as the structural panels and building's envelope rise. The envelope deploys white panels that contrast the structural panels in color and include openings, all of systemized dimensions. The totality of these elements engenders a coherent sculptural volume that stands out and gives a stable and sober character in concordance with the bank's function.
