Notes
The Michaca Building, an office building with a showroom on the ground floor, is probably the most rational of Karam's buildings, and a watered down version of his formal experiments. The northern side is a curtain wall benefiting from a maximum of light, while the eastern side is veiled with vertical sunscreens, and the southern side protected with horizontal sunscreens. A wall made of textured precast concrete panels, including pebbles, separates the northern and eastern elevations and ties the building to the ground.
