The Faculty of Sciences of the Damascus University was designed by architect Mohammad Al-Farra in collaboration with civil engineer Khalil Al-Farra in 1960. Vertical sun breakers span over several floors and cover the austerely designed building facades. The university library was designed by architect Rasem Badran as an annex building.
