Notes
The planning of the Delhamiyeh hill south of Beirut was done by A. Tabet with the collaboration of Michel Ecochard as technical advisor in 1962 (see IFA archives).
Tabet was entrusted with the design of the country club. The building is typical of his latest works, much lighter and dynamic than the earlier ones. Its design strategy is a play of solid planes and glass panels. The L-shaped building has one side that is perpendicular to the slope, thus embracing the outdoor and engaging with the topography.
At Tabet's office, collaborator architect Sadek Tabbara was in charge of the project. Contractor was engineer Rodolphe Elias.
