Notes
The project, originally designed as headquarters for the Directorate General of the Iraq Police, was modified when the Ministry of Interior made it its own.
The building is a structural feat presenting an umbrella roof cantilevering 9 meters in all directions above the twelve-storey edifice. The waffle-floor construction required custom-made glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) molds. The facade is clad in white cement precast units.
Included in the massive main block: an auditorium, ancillary blocks, car parking facilities and gate houses.
