Naoum Chebib obtained his Bachelor of Architecture in 1937, and founded his own office in 1940. He then obtained a Masters of Engineering and Soil Mechanics in 1954 and a Master of Structural Engineering in 1956. Using his knowledge of structures, he worked extensively with thin shells of reinforced concrete, allowing him to redistribute the structural forces in his buildings over large spans.
