Ali Baba Movie Theater

The movie theater consists of an 800 m² internal space sheltered under a thin reinforced concrete shell roof. This system was new at the time of construction, and became known as “Voûte Chebib” (Chebib Vault). The construction used columns that held the vault only at its peripheries; after casting, the concrete shell was raised into place using a system of jacks.
