Notes
Arthur Erickson was an architect and urban planner. He also taught at the University of Oregon and later at the University of British Columbia.
His work is known to be responsive to its location and environment, especially the climate. This sensibility was particularly developed through his travels to Greece, Italy, the Middle East and Japan.
One of Erickson's most recognized works in the Arab countries is the Etisalat Headquarters in Abu Dhabi. He also designed the Etisalat Headquarters in Dubai and the Oil Sector Complex (in collaboration with SSH International.)
Following Erickson's retirement and death, the firm became owned by the Erickson family.
