Guided Tours
The Arab Center for Architecture offers guided tours of the modern architectural heritage of Lebanon to local and visiting groups, schools and universities.
Different types of tours can be proposed:
- Walks in specific neighborhoods
- Thematic tours
- Detailed visits of buildings/sites (such as Tripoli Fair, Starco)
- Customized tours according to a particular interest
Volunteer architects and architecture students help the ACA team as guides.

Tripoli Fair: a tour on architecture, art and heritage
The Arab Center for Architecture is organizing a guided tour entitled "The Rashid Karami International Fair: a tour on architecture, art and heritage", on Sunday, Octobe 14, 2018.
Until October 24, the Rashid Karami International Fair is witnessing a unique and ambitious encounter with contemporary arts, in a wonderful dialogue between present and past, between heritage and progress.
The tour will be guided by Abdul Halim Jabr and Karina El Helou.

The tour is guided by Georges and Nizar Haddad (father and son). We will take you to Baskinta where we will meet two generations of architects.

Chetine, story of a valley
As part of its cycle Architects and Works, the Arab Center for Architecture is planning a guided tour with architect Hala Younes entitled: “ Chetine, story of a valley” which will take place on Sunday 9 October 2016.
Hala Younes is an architect and geographer. She worked in France between 1994 and 2009 before returning to Lebanon. Her architectural practice is based on a particular attention to the landscape and the history of places. She teaches architecture and landscaping since 2001 and is currently assistant professor at LAU.
Located in the Tannourine region, the village of Chetine is the homeland of Hala Younes. She designed many family houses that she will present to us during the tour along with its territory that she cherishes. A light lunch will be offered by the Younes family.
The meeting point us Ashrafieh, Sassine Square, in front of Doueihy, 8:00 AM (return by 3:00 PM).

Guided tour | The founding places of USJ
The Arab Center for Architecture organizes a guided tour, “The founding places of Saint-Joseph University” on Saturday, October 8, 2016. The visit will include the guided visit of the Oriental Library and the Museum of Prehistory.
The tour's guide is Dr Liliane Barakat, geographer and professor at Saint Joseph University and the meeting point will be in front of the Saint-Joseph church at 10:30 AM.
The duration of the visit is 2h30 and the language used is French.
