Guided Tours
The Arab Center for Architecture offers guided tours of the modern architectural heritage of Lebanon to local and visiting groups, schools and universities.
Different types of tours can be proposed:
- Walks in specific neighborhoods
- Thematic tours
- Detailed visits of buildings/sites (such as Tripoli Fair, Starco)
- Customized tours according to a particular interest
Volunteer architects and architecture students help the ACA team as guides.

Guided Tour | Bikfaya
The Arab Center for Architecture is organizing a guided tour in Bikfaya on Sunday July 31, 2016.
The tour is guided by Naji Assi, architect and senior instructor at the American University of Beirut.
The meeting point will be Douaihy Sassine at 8:40 AM (return by 1:30PM) and the language used is English.

Walk the Line
The Arab Center for Architecture is organizing a guided tour entitled "Walk the Line" on Sunday July 17, 2016.
The tour is guided by Rani Al Rajji, architect and urban storyteller. The meeting point is the Sunflower theater, Tayouneh roundabout at 10:00 AM.
The tour will last 3 hours and the language used is English.

Guided tour | Beirut Central District ‘Beauty under Stress’
The Arab Center for Architecture is organizing a guided tour entitled ‘Beauty under Stress’, practicing public space in Beirut Central District Sunday June 26, 2016.
The tour is guided by Rania Sassine, architect and urban planner, senior lecturer at ALBA, currently consultant in urbanism, and former head of Master Planning Unit at Citymakers/Solidere International.
The meeting point will be Paul, Gemmayze, Georges Haddad Avenue, at 10:00 AM. The tour will last 3 hours and the language used is English.

The Arab Center for Architecture is organizing a guided tour in Mar Mikhael neighborhood on Sunday June, 19 2016.
The tour is guided by Liliane Barakat, geographer and professor at Saint Joseph University. The meeting point will be Electricité du Liban, main gate at 10:00 AM.
The tour will last 2h30 and the language used is French.

Visit and Lunch | Zokak el-Blat, the Nahda district
On the occasion of National Heritage Day, the Arab Center for Architecture is organizing a guided tour entitled "Zokak el-Blat, the Nahda district" followed by a lunch at the association Ashghalouna on Friday May 20, 2016.
The tour is guided by Liliane Barakat, geographer and professor at Saint Joseph University. The meeting point will be the Abdel Rahman el-Hout public garden, between the Moawad museum and Zokak el Blat mosque at 12:00 PM.
The duration of the tour is 3h30, lunch included, and the language used is French.

Guided tour | Swiss architecture in Beirut
The Embassy of Switzerland in Lebanon and the Arab Center for Architecture are organizing two exceptional tours entitled “Swiss architecture in Beirut” on Thursday 19th May 2016 at 3:30 PM and 5:00 PM.
The tour includes:
- a visit to « Beirut Terraces » (2016) building by Herzog & de Meuron, guided by Tobias Winkelmann, Project Director and Associate at HdM
- Starco Center (1955-1961) by Addor et Julliard guided by George Arbid, director of the Arab Center for Architecture
The tour will last 1h30 and the language used is English.

Visit to Beirut Port
The Arab Center for Architecture, in collaboration with Marfa’ Gallery, is organizing a visit of the Port of Beirut, on Saturday May 14, 2016.
The visit will start with a tour of the exhibition “Fields of Space” currently on display at Marfa’, which is inspired by the Port and its activities. A historic overview of the evolution of the Port and a bus trip around its facilities will follow. Manakishs and coffee will be served after the tour at the gallery.
The tour is guided by Cherine Karam and a representative of the Port. The meeting point will be the Marfa’ Gallery at 8:00 AM.
The tour will last 3 hours and the languages used are French and Arabic.
