Guided Tours
The Arab Center for Architecture offers guided tours of the modern architectural heritage of Lebanon to local and visiting groups, schools and universities.
Different types of tours can be proposed:
- Walks in specific neighborhoods
- Thematic tours
- Detailed visits of buildings/sites (such as Tripoli Fair, Starco)
- Customized tours according to a particular interest
Volunteer architects and architecture students help the ACA team as guides.

Guided Tour | In search for the Beirut River
The Arab Center for Architecture is organizing a guided tour entitled “In search for the Beirut River” on Saturday October 1, 2016.
A bus will drive us from the Dachounieh water plant to the coast.
The tour is guided by Sandra Frem, architect and urbanist, lecturer at the American University of Beirut and founder of platau | platform for architecture and urbanism.
The meeting point will be the Arab Center for Architecture at 2:45 PM and the language used is English.

Baalbeck, urban and architectural evolutions
The Arab Center for Architecture is organizing an exceptional guided tour "Baalbeck, urban and architectural evolutions from Antiquity to date" on September 17, 2016.
The program includes :
- a visit to the Roman quarries with Dr. Jeanine Abdelmassih (Lebanese University), Department of Art and Archaeology
- a visit to the Palmyra Hotel with Charbel Saliba, tourist guide
- a presentation of the German archeological mission with Dr. Margarete Van Ess, Head of the German mission (Deutsch Archaeologish Institute)
- a presentation by Laure Salloum (DGA), Baalbek Site and North Beqaa Manager
- a lunch in Ras el Ain
- an invitation to the opening of “the Silent Echo” exhibition (Archaeological site museum)
The meeting point will be at Martyr Square at 8:00 AM (return by 8:00 PM) and the languages used are English, Arabic and French.

Visit to the Grand Lycée Franco-Libanais and its extensions
The Arab Center for Architecture is organizing a visit of the Grand Lycée Franco-Libanais on Saturday 27th August 2016. The school was designed by Michel Ecochard in 1961, while Jad & Sami Tabet with Habib Debs were responsible for its extensions are rehabilitation in 2015.
The tour is guided by Jad Tabet and the meeting point will be the main entrance of the Lycée at 9:45 AM.
The tour will last 2 hours and the languages used are French and Arabic.

Guided tour in Bourj Hammoud
The Arab Center for Architecture is organizing a guided tour in Bourj Hammoud on Saturday 20 August 2016.
The tour is guided by Arpi Mangassarian, architect, head of the Technical and Urban Planning Office at Bourj Hammoud Municipality and director of Badguèr Center, and Sarine Hagopian, architect and landscape-architect.
The meeting point is Badguèr center at 9:45 AM and the languages used are English and Arabic.

Brutalist Hamra_ Guided tour
After the succes of the first Brutalist tour, the Arab Center for Architecture is organizing a second visit to Hamra’s Brutalist buildings on Saturday August 13, 2016.
The tour is guided by Elie Harfouche, architect, assistant professor at the Lebanese American University and editor of Archileb. The meeting point is the former Harley Davidson Beirut Headquarters, Michel Chiha St. at 9:45 AM.
The tour will last for 3 hours and the language used is English.

A visit to Rashid Karami International Fair, Tripoli
The Arab Center for Architecture is organizing a visit to the Rashid Karami International Fair, Tripoli on Tuesday, August 8, 2016.
The tour will be guided by Dr. George Arbid, architect and president of the Arab Center for Architecture.
The tour will last 2.5-3 hours and the meeting points will be Sanayeh Garden at 8:30 AM, Sassine Square, Beirut, at 8:50 AM to go by bus or Rashid Karami International Fair, main gate, at 10:30 AM.
The language used is English.

Brutalist Hamra_ Guided tour
The Arab Center for Architecture is organizing a guided tour entitled "Brutalist Hamra”, a tour of Hamra’s Brutalist buildings on Saturday August 6, 2016.
