The creation of the Arab Center for Architecture in 2008 in Beirut, marked a step towards more recognition of the importance of modern architectural heritage.
This talk briefly presents modern architecture in Lebanon and its current condition, namely the misconception about identity in architecture. The presentation moves to reflect on the activities of the centre, namely the building of a physical archive in Lebanon, preservation support, curating of exhibitions, organising conferences, workshops and publications about modern architecture in the Arab world.
