The goal of this conference is to focus on
the Places that Remain in the Lebanese Territory, un-built spaces, their traits, histories, and possibilities, in conjunction with Freespace, the topic of the upcoming 16th International Architecture Exhibition in Venice. The focus is also on the value of the Place that Remains as a resource for securing quality living via a more meaningful and poetic use of our territory, and as a place that may host our aspirations and meet our expectations.
The conference is organized by the Lebanese American University's School of Architecture and Design in collaboration with Lebanese University's Department of Urbanism, the Lebanese Landscape Association, and the Arab Center for Architecture.
