A visit to nabil gholam architects workplace


nabil gholam architects will be opening their workspace for a visit by ACA, a reconverted industrial building from the late fifties in the Nahr area. A selection of works will be shown, followed by a small Q&A session with nabil gholam.

The event will be on Friday 21 October from 12:00 AM to 1:30 PM and the language used is English. The participation fee of 20,000 LBP will go to fund the activities of the Arab Center for Architecture.

The Arab Center For Architecture will be hosting a showcase of the Hamra Street drawing produced by the workshop participants over the course of two weeks.

Workshop on cities, architecture and built heritage for kids


ACA is organizing 3 half-day workshops on cities, architecture and built heritage for school kids from Thursday 29 June till Friday 1 July, 2016.
 
The workshop aims at initiating the youth to the understanding of the urban space, the built environment and the preservation of heritage through an interactive presentation and a design exercise.

Sketching Workshop around the Corm House


Workshop objectives

We invite you to explore through drawing, different emblematic places and territories of Beirut during four half-day workshops from June 20 to 23, from 9 AM to 12 PM.

Through the immersion in the place,  you will discover and express in a personal way the perceived sensations of the varied characters of the selected places.

The workshop is provided by Véronique Chahbazian-Cobti, architect, visual artist, lecturer in visual arts, and member of the ADAGP, the French society for the collection and distribution of copyright in the field of graphic and plastic arts.

Screening of the Irish documentary film « Talking to my father»

We are pleased to announce the screening of the Irish documentary film « Talking to my father» by the film director Sé Merry Doyle, on Tuesday May 31, 2016. Two screenings will take place at 6pm and 8:30pm at Metropolis Empire Sofil in Ashrafieh, Beirut.
The movie is about the life and work of the famous Irish architect Robin Walker.
